Transformator de masura si protectie tensiune (TT): transformator (reductor) cu dublu rol, compus din doua infasurari secundare.
Acest transformator de masura tensiune poate fi utilizat cu functia de masura (destinat informări contoarelor de masura) si/sau functia de protectie (TP) (destinat informări releului de protecție).
Ordinul de mărime a tensiuni nominale pentru transformatoarele de masura tensiune la medie tensiune (MT) este uzual 12/24/36 kV.
In cadru protectiilor la aparitia unui defect sau a unui regim anormal periculos, elementul de masura EM, numit blocul de intrare, reprezinta de fapt un circuit de adaptare alimentat din secundarele transformatoarelor de tensiune, iar elementul de executie EE, numit blocul de iesire, are ca element de iesire, in general, un releu (numeric) care da comanda de declansare la intreruptor si porneste instalatia de semnalizare a sistemului.
